The New York State Psychological Association (www.NYSPA.org) is a state wide organization that works on issues important to psychologists. It has several divisions representing the wide array of specializations within the field of Psychology.
The Neuropsychology Division of NYSPA offers an annual series of student fellowships consisting of a $500 stipend to eligible students for presentation of an abstract at each of four meetings with a focus on Neuropsychology: the NYSPA Spring Conference, the International Neuropsychological Society, the American Psychological Association – Division 40, and the National Academy of Neuropsychologists.
Recipients will be determined based upon the submitted abstract. Eligible students should be members of NYSPA and the Neuropsychology Division, graduate students in an accredited psychology doctoral program studying neuropsychology, or students currently completing an internship or fellowship in psychology with an active involvement in the study of the field of neuropsychology, and not have previously received a Neuropsychology Division fellowship award. The deadline for submission to NYSPA for the student award is April 13, 2007.
For the Neuropsychology Division’s student fellowship award, please direct all submissions to Charles Zaroff, Ph.D. at drcharleszaroff@yahoo.com. A letter from a graduate program head or training program director will be required. The award recipient will be notified after abstract status from NYSPA has been announced.
